Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knew of anybody making custom Izula handle inserts. I'd like to get some in international orange. Thanks.

i just bought some g10 and made my own. i have yet to see anyone offer them.
my first set was a learning experiance. the 2nd set turned out pretty good i think.

there might be a few more sets made now that i have had more practice. plus i found a supplier for the hardware that is standard with izula scales and the rest of the esee famoly of knives. that should make it alot easier than trying to use other hardware that doesnt look right on the knife.

Yeah, I would like to have some G10 orange myself. I like the Micarta, but it would be a good thing, to change em out every now and then. Could be wrong, but I think they would be in a lot of online carts checking out.

yeah, i'd be interested in a set of orange G10 scales too. as long as the hardware is similar to the factory scales and the price is reasonable.

Not to hijack the thread or anything, but how well does dyeing the existing canvas micarta scales work? The canvas certainly absorbs skin oil and anything else you spill on it (though it mostly washes off wit dish detergent), so the right dye should work. I just don't know if an orange color would be possible...

i dont think dye would be the same as orange g10. the scales offered are tan colored and that would effect the dye.

There was a thread on dying scales once. The colors come out a lot darker than the dye color so you would not get a nice bright orange color - more like a rusty brown.
