Izula handles?

A reasonable question. I even took the paracord off mine. The handle is so well designed...it really doesn't need anything.

 you understood that, wow . I like the feel of paracord, it gives me a little extra grip and a few other added bonuses.

Well that's the funny part I LOVE everything about paracord.
I like the way cord wraps look and feel.
I've even sometimes cord wrapped knives that have handle scales.

But in the case of the Izula. meh. I tried it, it didn't seem to do anything useful.

In fact it interfered a bit with drawing and holdign the knife. I like the tips of my fingers to rest in the cutouts.

Personally my Izula would see a lot of time in a drawer as a skeletal handle. I find it thin and pinches in its grip when naked. Not very nice at all except for the low profile if that is your primary requirement. Put a paracord wrap on it and you have a whole new knife. The handle is suddenly not just acceptable, but actually comfortable to use. The cord grips the hands better than the coating on the paint. I'll keep my wrap thanks....

If there were to be scales, some thin textured G10 would be nice. Like the type on a spyderco military. I think mircata grips on an Izula would be too heavy and create an awkward balance.

I wish Tknife would post on this thread of his Izula ,I think it was a proto type he won and had Nick Allen (NWA knives) put a handle on it...It looks so Sweet !
I also heard Mike Stewart(Bark River) picked up an Izula and was doing a handle as well,I know this does not answer OP question but food for the brain

I talked with Jeff about it a month or so ago and he said they were in the works, but behind several other projects.

There is some type of wrap, made for tennis rackets, that I saw someone use on a skeletonized handle and it looked nice and comfortable. I may experiment with that stuff, :D of course my tennis racket handle has a ACU digi camo paracord wrap, so I may just leave it as a matching set.
