Sorry if this has been covered before. Im just super excited and I haven't seen it posted before.
Since the day I got my Izula I have been stressing on a good way to carry it. The handle was way to high on my side when I would carry it vertical. I've been dying to figure out a good secure horizontal carry option.
I took an old bicycle tube and cut a small section off it. I then slipped the tube over the sheath and then just ran my belt through that. It grips so good on my belt that I can just pull the handle. I don't have to push the sheath off at all.
So glad I finally figured this out. I love this knife even more now.
I just wanted to share this because I'm sure someone out there has been trying to come up with something similar. Best of all, it was free and took literally 30 seconds to make.
Thanks for looking.
Yes, I know I need new pants! ;)

Just a little warning to those who may try this. If you simply yank the knife out of the sheath, rather than use your thumb to push the sheath off the knife. The knife may exit the sheath faster than expected, and you will compensate by jerking your hand back towards the sheath. For me it was a natural reflex because I had a sharp object in my hand that was moving way to fast. For those that didn't read my original post, this quick motion to compensate can easily create an additional hole in your ass.

Practice and draw slowly from the sheath with even pressure.

Nice post and pics thanks for sharing.

Decklin, I know exactly what you mean. I still do push the sheath off with my thumb. When I said you can pull it out I was just meaning to show how secure it's held on to the belt. The rubber doesn't really slide around.
Thanks for your input!

I like that idea... the only concern I would have is the flex when you pull the knife out... I was thinking about doing a horizontal weave with the paracord and putting the bike tube over it for more grip and to cover it up for a cleaner look... Either way I like your ingenuity

Thank you!
I've tried and tried with the paracord but couldn't come up with something I was happy with. If you figure something out please share it with us! :)

Looks like a good idea, My only question is how well does the rubber stay on the case after pulling the knife out and putting it back in several times.

Def like the idea though. I sometimes hate carrying it in my front pocket

It's very secure 'so far'.. I only put it on just last night but it was a real tight fit so I think it should be all good. I was thinking about putting the screws from the belt clip in the holes for extra security. Even if it comes off / wears out over time I'm not to worried, I could make about 20 of these from one bicycle tube. :)

Those bicycle tubes have great grip. I use them to attach my cell phone and iPod while running and even after running 10 miles, they didn't move or budge. Good stuff.

I like to fix it horizontally as well...
I use the little bit of paracord and clip that came with it.

Nice pics. Does it poke out your tshirt while in front of you like that? I'm a skinnier guy and mine was definitely noticeable when carried in front of me. When I have it in the middle of my back you can't even tell it's there.

Fourtunately(depends how You look at it), I'm not a skinny Guy. So no,it's very low profile.
I like Your route too, but I need to ride my bike more so I can blow out a intertube.lol

Cool man! I tried horizontal carry using paracord and cord locks, found I like just dropping in my front pocket best. Love the tree pic, thanks for posting bro.

I like the innertube idea, more low profile than the paracord with cord lock. I would advise against having a piece of metal directly over your spine though. If you fall on a hard surface just right it could be very ugly. Maybe I worry too much but I say better safe than paralyzed.
