Hey folks!

I just purchased an Eskabar and the izalu I g10 scales. I haven't gotten them yet, but the thought just hit me that I didn't even properly researched if these would fit like the micarda ones after a little shaving of the inside sides.

Has anyone done this yet?

I haven't done it myself, but yes, they will fit with minor modification.

Yes. Might need to make a new Kydex insert piece or mod it. I just made a new one. The tang will stick out so you might want to round the edges a little for better comfort. That's what I did with mine.

Here is a pic on a stock BK-24

It really changed the feel of the knife. I don't like the Zytel scales, but the G-10 really made me give the BK-14/24 a second chance. I still prefer the BK-11 but the 14 with the G-10 scales is way better than the Izula and I do enjoy using mine.

I sanded the edges on the inside of the scales until they fit. Go slow so that you don't take too much material off. They fit tight. It really changed the feel of the knife for the better. It made the BK 14 one of my favorite blades. Huge improvement over being cord wrapped.

I really like it :D I should have them both next week! I 'm sure it will make for a perfect ''go to knife'' for day treks in the wild.

that looks really sharp. I never did like the black handle on the D2 of the 24. Those handles with the black blade are nice though.

Got them to fit quite nicely with a little filing. What a great little neck knife this makes! It bit me good on the pinky finger as I struggle to fit the allen key in to screw the handle together lol sharp little thing out of the box

oh and the sheath is just fine! I tested it and it does not dull the edge on mine!!!
