Izula-II: A Four-Finger Knife?

Depends on how wide your fingers are. I have little girl hands, and the original Izula is a 3.5 finger knife for me, so the II would indeed be a 4 finger knife for me. If you have big ape hands, then possibly not.

For anyone with big paws I'm sure it will be a 4 finger knife.

I have long skinny fingers, so the izula is pretty much a 4 finger knife for me, but that is with a tight hammer grip, any other time its more like a 3-3.5 finger.

I'll probably go in store to pick one up and see if I like it... once it comes out in Desert tan that is ;)

As far as I know the Izula II has not been released yet. So, pretty hard to speculate. Just looking at it, it could be a 4-finger knife. Depends on how big the 4 fingers are:p

I've got pretty good sized hands:

Jeff,
would it be possible to post a pic of the Izula-II with an ESEE3 or 4?
laying flat spine to spine for a direct comparison?

Man I like the looks of that. I just gave my DT Izula to a friend on a local police force earlier tonight at the Waffle House. He wanted a fixed blade that would fit in his pocket and not show (regs don't allow him to carry a f.b. on his duty belt) and wanted one he could trust...I wanted a good excuse to get one of these...I saw it as a win/win situation :)

I was thinking an ESKABAR..., (and may still get one anyway) but I like the Izula blade better and I'm thinking I would likely just end up re-working the spine to look like an Izula. I'm pretty sure the Ka-Bar warranty won't cover mods...so might as well just stick with ESEE

Personally, I think we out-did ourself on the Izula-II. After handling one for a couple of days it is easily my favorite knife now in our whole lineup. And the cool thing is the kit version is now shipping with the clip plate.

wow, the izula two has a handle that looks to me a little longer than the three. thats would be nice for long time working with it. personally im fine with the regular izula, because it like it to be as compact as possible....still think im gonna get an izula 2 though =)

I feel so bad for my poor regular Izula.

They have served me so well over the years but I don't see them getting much use anymore.

I was thinking the same exact thing. Now after seeing the pics of the Izula II, I'm starting to feel bad for my original Izula.

Thanks Jeff!
that looks awesome.
clip plate with the kit is just gravy...
