Izula II sheath problem

I've noticed that my stock sheath for my Izula II dulls a small section of the edge. It's nothing that a minute on a stropping stick won't fix, but I have a feeling that there's been some gritty material in the sheath since the day I got it. The knife's also been rattly in the sheath from day one. This has been my main edc for months now, and those two problems are the only ones that bother me. I do have a clip plate installed, but I don't think that's part of the problem, because the part of the edge that rolls isn't near any of the hardware. I was wondering if there are any tips to smooth out the inside of the sheath so that it doesn't roll the edge anymore, and if there's any way to reduce rattling?

Honestly that sheath should not do that. I would contact ESEE about it, they pretty much have the best customer service in the knife industry and would bet that they would be happy to send you a new sheath.

I'm with Mr Knight on that. Izulas sheaths are molded plastic; it's fugly as sin, but it won't deform or give, and should hold the knife like in a bear trap.

Have you tried to clean it? It might be, after all, some gritty material that got stuck inside.

I've run water through it before, but that was after I noticed that spot rolling. I think I will contact ESEE about this in a few days, thanks for your thoughts.
