Izula Micarta Handles

Does anybody know how much these weigh, or how far they stick out?

My Izula weighs 2 oz without the scales, 2.65 oz with them. They stick out about 3/8 on each side and make a very comfortable Izula.

Not sure if there is much of a space when left stock and when on the knife, but it is easy to dremel out a small area.

Can the micarta scales be dyed? Will they take the color?
