Izula Micarta Scales for a BK-14?

Hey Guys, I am sure it has been addressed but help me out so I don't have to spend 3 days going through all the becker/ esee threads. Will the Izula micarta scales fit the BK-14 since the handle is similar? That being said do you guys recomend that or the standard black plastic scales that are sold for the BK-14. Other than the material it appears as though the other difference is the plastic ones cover the circular design in the tang and the Izula micarta ones do not. What about the Izula I vs Izula II does that affect the scales. Thx for any input/info. PS- I am rushing so please excuse any spelling/ grammer errors :)
 
I make custom wood scales for all Becker models. I make BK14 scales with or without holes, or any way you like, message me if you want to see some pics
 
Tommy's scales are top notch and am planning on a set for my 14 sometime soon. I have a set on my 11 and love them.

I have a set of TKC Izula scales on my 14 right now and had to do a significant amount of dremel and sanding work on the inside to get them to fit. I was not happy with my work but I did get them to fit. I suggest either the Ka-Bar scales or better yet go with a set from Tommythewho.
 
Phjotobucket is down, but I have the izula micarta on my 14. Works just fine, I simply popped the inserts off the micarta with my 14's tip and bolted it on...took like 2 minutes. I have had zero issues with lateral movement. I like the feel of it, but it is a minimal scale, not quite flush with the tang and is very small....just enough to fill the palm a little...the factory zytel is much fuller...and can be trimmed/shaped anyway you like.


I will second Tommy's work, he makes some awesome scales for the Beckers...and the fit and finish will be perfect.

Thanks for all the info and the link with the pics was great. I decided to first buy the factory zytel scales because for the short money I figured I couldn't go wrong with having them and having the two different color options. However, following this post, I am going to PM Tommythewho for pics and prices. I will eventually want some quality micarta scales for my 14 and maybe some others. Thanks again for the replies.
