Wow, that is an excellent idea. Definitely of the kind where you say, "why didn't I think of that".

Can't believe how much you can actually fit in there.

One question ... where do you keep the allen key? :D

Forgot to show that. I drilled a hole the length of the sheath and trimmed the wrench down and slide it into the sheath.

This is with the wrench all the way in place.

Here's one with the knife.

Nice idea. I was wondering why esee uses torque screws for the izula scales. Theoretically the knife could be more useful with brass screws like the hest just in case of an emergency you could take the scales off and use it for a trap or spear. But with the torque screws what would be the chance you have or could find a torque bit in the middle of crisis

That is amazing! Does it get annoying having that stuff jiggle around in your knife handle though? XD

There doesn't seem too be much wiggle room in there, but if there was you could cram a peice of cotton in there.

That is probably the most efficient use of such a small space that I've seen. Great job and thanks for sharing. I especially like how you even made a space in the sheath to store the wrench!!!

excellent work, great way to have a few things with you that don't take up otherwise needed space.
Really good idea with the Allen wrench. You might even be able to sharpen a small area on the wrench to use as a striker for the fire steel. Just a thought, I'm not a big fan of using the edge of my knife for that.

How does that affect the weight distribution of the knife? Is the handle noticeably heavier?

I really can't tell the difference in the weight of it in the hand. I don't have a scale around at the moment to get an exact though.

I think I finally figured out what to do with all the space in my hest. I will be putting together a similar kit and filling in my extra space.
