Here are a couple of new pics.

I attached a Lock Clip to the Izula and then added the knife to the Pals webbing on the SO Tech Mission Go Bag:

Then, as I was admiring my photo, the new Rat Pack knife strolls up, acting all nonchalant, sets up the timer on the camera and then leans against the pack in what it thinks will be mistaken for a cameo shot. What a ham.

would ya, if you hve time and don't mind, take a pic of the lock clip on sheath and how it is attached? thanks

Here ya go Sadiejane:

The only difficulty I had was with the screws used to attach the clip to the sheath. The Izula sheath is fairly thick at the attachment point. I liberated some screws from a Tek-Lok and everything went together fine. I did use the rubber washers between clip and the sheath. If you have any questions or need more pictures, just let me know.

I ran into the same thing with my screws. They aren't long enough to run through the sheath and the rubber washers. Nice pics!

I'm sorry you had the same problem, but glad it's not just me. I didn't nuy the whole Izula kit, just the knife and sheath. Maybe those who bought the whole kit got longer screws. Or, maybe it was just an oversight.

The post should go through the sheath and the screw goes through the MOLLE lock. It should work. Let me get Mike and Shon checking into this since they handle that end of the biz....

That's what I have done Jeff. I tend to through all related nuts and bolts into the same box though. Then I wonder why things don't fit. As I said, I didn't but the whole Izula kit, just the knife and sheath. The lock clip is probably from my RC4 or RC3.

I called Shon and Mike and they will be looking into this ASAP. Should be the same MOLLE lock.

If your using hardware from a RC-3 kit you will find that the screws are to short to work with the IZULA. If you buy the IZULA kit it comes with the longer screws. You can get some longer screws at your local hardware store or Home Depot. The overall length of the screw should be 1/2", the length of just the threads should be 3/8" If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

Thanks,

Shon

Hey Willie, can you do some pics that are zoomed out a little more for a better shot of the overall bag? That thing looks sweet and I might steal some ideas from you! I love kit. Not more than TTD of course. House of 1000 Kits Starting TTD.

Here you go Adam. I hope I haven't overdone it.

Here are two pics of the front of the pack. Mounted on the Pals webbing is my Izula and a double mag pouch. On the left side, hooked to a Grimlock are two little lights.:

Here's the back of the pack. The square section in the middle is a tacky, rubbery material that keeps the pack stable when worn over the shoulder. The webbing seen here enables the MGB to be attached to my A-III's Pals webbing.

The following pic shows three more mags attached to a Velcro panel within the pack's front pocket. What isn't seen in the pic is a good size pocket that is behind the Velcro panel.

Here are two picks of the MGB's main section. Within this section are four drawstring string pouches. In my four pouches I carry a water bottle, extra batteries, flashlight, firstaid kit, and four more magazines. You can see that between the two sets of pouches there is ample room for books, Depends, whatever. There is also another good size pocket for melba toast or, as I've shown, a good book or two.

In the next pick, in the foreground, is an EMDOM Recon waistpack that can be mounted on the MGB's webbing for some addtional room. Everything works well together.

I hope this helps and, as I said, I hope I've not overdone it with the pack pictures. Here's a little RAT porn. This shows my new Rat Pack knive, Izula, and old RAT3 and my RC4.

Thanks for looking.
