Izula: OD Green or Desert Tan

Well, I'm impatient, and the only place I can find an Izula with the survival kit for the price I want has them in OD Green and Desert Tan. Thing is I can't find that many pictures of either one of them on Google to get a real idea of how each of them looks.

Think you guys could help me out by posting some OD Green and Desert Tan Izulas? Maybe in different lighting settings, as they seem to look quite different.

I was originally going to go for black, so I would kind of like something darker like OD Green, but in a couple of pictures the OD Green kind of looks like diaper mess, if you know what I mean. Desert Tan comes off looking quite handsome in a lot of pictures, but I don't really like the military-esque feel of it. Don't get me wrong, I don't really have any problem with the military; I just won't really want to be associated with having some kind of army fixation for it. Call me vain, but it would annoy me if someone asked me if I wanted to be in the army for using it; use to happen with my KaBar a lot. If I remember correctly OD green is also a military color, but it seems to be less associated with the military of modern times than Desert Tan would be.

The color overall isn't really all that important to me, but I figure if I'm not going to have the patience to wait for a black one to get into stock, I can at least have the patience for you guys to show me some good pictures of each color.

Flip a coin. They both could be perceived as a military colors but at least neither are camo :). I've owned both at some point and wouldn't favor either one, just happen to have kept an O.D. green and a black. The tan was awesome as well. Go with the best price IMO.

My current carry combo is a OD green Izula with a chocolate brown sheath. Very complimentary if you ask me.

I have a OD Izula with scales. You could always order one and strip it. Really, once you start using it, color becomes immaterial. Since you asked though:

Enjoy deciding!!

perhaps it's just me, but i think the odds of someone thinking that either OD or tan on an Izula as "military" are slim.

but if they do, just say you stole it from GI Joe.

or just call the colors "loden" and "taupe"! :D

or you could get the "don't ask, don't tell" pink!

i was going to order one in tan, now i'll be preordering two in orange.

That is the great thing about these knives....it really doesn't matter what color you get....they are perfect in any color! I have got one in each factor color and a bunch of "other" colors that I have done.

I prefer the OD myself, seems to go well in the woodsy environment I hike and camp in...

I had the same question not to long ago, went with the TAN as it fits in nicely with 3/4 of my clothes I wear. Still waiting for its arrival through our distributor.

Here is another OD

You might check the knife connection, I believe they have black kit as well. Good guy, free shipping

I like mine in DT, personally.

Your pic just made me buy another 4 in that color scheme - THANKS! Haven't made a purchase since they changed names to ESEE...

I also ordered an Izula since I just gave my black one away to a family friend - I chose to go GREEN over tan or black mainly bc I don't have any in that color and wanted something new to match my green/orange 4 I just ordered :D
