Izula or Dpx HEST???

Just ordered a HEST. Been comparing with the Izula. Might end up getting the Izula too reading all these great things bout it. What do you guys think would be better for a edc? I just fell in love with the HEST design. Izula seems a bit too small IMO. Anyone here have both of these knives can give me their opinons? I also own a RC-5 thats the one that gave me the RAT diesease!!!
 
As far as I know, no one owns a HEST yet. But I EDC the Izula everyday it's it's not too small by a long shot. It handles all my everyday chores with ease. The Izula is such a great knife, I have two of them. One on my belt everyday, and one in my BOE (Bag of Evil).

I think that the Izula is a perfect EDC.
 
Did I see somewhere in the forum side by side pics of the HEST and Izula? I too am considering a HEST purchase but I dont need another pack knife. always looking for a EDC. I like to switch them up.
 
Yep can't wait to get HEST home. The HEST is like an RC-3 on steroids. Gonna put this knife through hell. Hopefully knife will ship out on July 8.

Sexy knife. I say an Izula in one hand and a HEST in another. I'll be looking at the HEST as my next purchase.
 
Already ordered the HEST. Been reading this forum the whole day and all i hear is IZULA. Think thats gonna be next after i received the HEST. Then maybe i'll stop with all this craziness. Damn RATS are contagious.
 
I just ordered the Izula Kit in black, I was gonna go with OD but changed my mind at the last second. I also ordered camo para cord, black para cord, and digital desert camo, that way I can change it up from time to time.
 
I don't own a HEST (yet), but I do have an Izula, and love it. I thought it might be a little small for EDC use as well, but all that changed after I tried it out. Even though it's smaller than most of my usual EDC blades, you hardly notice it. It cuts like a champ, and can tackle large tasks without problem.

Like someone else said, Izula in one hand and HEST in the other would be my preferred way to go. The Izula is definitely a must have for any RAT fan, and just about anyone else too. ;)
 
the Izula is just to cool not to own .... the HEST is much larger than the izula closer in size to the RC3
 
Damn it. I hate you folks. I was gonna be patience and wait for the HEST. Reading all this good shit for the Izula, i ending up ordering the damn thing. Couldn't hold back the urge anymore. I got it in black full kit. Got a question has anyone removed the outer coating of their Izula? Would 1095 stand a chance without a protective coating? Damn i hate this RAT fever, never goes away. I think i should stay away from this forum. I'm low on funds but yet i rather starve just to get another knife. Oh well no steak for a week, just cup o noodles. (wife got mad) She said why the hell you need all this BS when you live in the damn city. hahaha oh well. Atleast the Izula will be here within 2-3 days. Will keep me busy till the HEST come.
 
Hmm... Interesting. I don't own either, but out of the two, I think I'd pick the Izula.

If I'm going to carry the HEST I might as well just grap my RC-3...

Also, I can imagine the pry thingie on the end of the HEST getting caught on my pants...

Thinking about it now - the HEST seems perfect for what it is supposed to be - a knife for survival situations and would be perfection left in a BOB or FAK - just cant imagine it as EDC.

the HEST is the BEST!!! Perfectly built to perfection just beautiful. Just got the Izula today too. Like them both but the HEST fits my needs better. Perfect edc for me. I could see alot of use in the future with all the HEST features. I would recommended this knife to all. Handle is very comfortable and fits all 4 fingers no problem. Very light but built very strong. RAT came out with the perfect knife this time.!!! Just love this baby #187
