Hello again, everyone! I am looking to purchase either an Izula or Izula-II as my second knife from ESEE. I just can't seem to decide which one would be better. Please list some reasons as to why you would buy either and please be sure to provide me with any other useful or important information.

A Few Questions I Have:

1. When will the Izula-II be up for sale?

2. Will the Izula-II be offered in different colors just like the the regular Izula?

3. Where might I get a kydex sheath for the Izula-II once it's on sale?

Thanks to everyone who replies!

1 the izula II will be up for sale within the next couple of weeks

2 black only at first

3 since the blade is exactly the same as the regular izula any kydex that fits one will fit the other.

i think the izulaII is going to be a big hit, the full scales are sweet and the extra bit of handle is great for larger hands.

take it easy

Well I would reply with some more info but cricket summed it up pretty well. I will say that altho the Izula II will be a huge hit the Izula is still an awesome knife that a lot of people love. I know a couple of people who won't be buying the II because the Izula is just right for them.

the 2 would probably be more comfortable in my hands, but i'm looking forward to the 1. based on the videos i've watched on youtube, i don't think i'll have a hard time with the smaller size and i really like the more compact version for concealability. also, i don't want the scales. i like the idea of a paracord-wrapped, tiny workhorse. :)

Izula II - same blade......larger handle......

2 re-occurring thoughts:

1. baby's got BACK!
2. big girls need love too!

:) (oh yeah...looks nice too)

Why get both when you can make the right decision about what you need, save some cash, and still get the job done at the end of the day?

God bless,
Adam

I like the full scales of the Izula II. It's one of the reasons I haven't gotten the Izula yet. Maybe I should get it just to try it out. I'm sure I'd like it. I haven't seen anything made by ESEE that I haven't liked yet.

I have been EDC the Izula with Para Cord wrap in my front pocket for over a year now and like it a lot. I’m getting the Izula 2 to replace the Izula as one of my EDC knives because I think the scales and extra handle length will be a better fit for my large hands. I will still use the Izula as a neck knife.

I have never used the Izula as a neck knife because it would be too difficult to switch from pocket carry to neck carry with the way I have the key ring clip connected to the sheath.

For a neck knife I'd go with the original although the 2 would probably be fine as a necker also. For belt or other carry methods, the 2 should be a hit.

See ESEE fans are just wild about their knives. hoops here knows that they are *fine* "neckers" I like my ESEEs alot too. OK seriously. The ONLY reason I have not bought an Izula was it was just a plane no scales blade, and may have been some discomfert to my hand. As soon as the Izula II came out. I jumped on it. Thats what I was looking for. Even though I may buy the izula to neck with it myself someday.:D enjoy edgy

Get both because you can never have to many knives...:)

This is the correct answer in my opinion.

I have the Izula and love it. But I'll get the Izula II as well. Each will have a place in my line up.

I have many Izula's. Paracord,Scales and Necked. I like my edc to be Necked because it's small. But I don't use it much so it doesn't hurt my hand. If I was going to use it alot it would be wrapped or have scales. But the Izula2 is gonna be nice:thumbup::thumbup:. I'll probally buy a couple of those also :D

Judging from my other knives I think the handle length on the Izula would be fine for me, and so I mostly want to get it since I can have it with the survival kit for like $65.

So is there really any other reason for me to get the Izula II besides the handles?

If you don't want the longer handles I don't see any other appeal to the Izula 2, thats the main point of the different design. But the full handle slabs do look super comfy.

Yep, the handle was pretty much the big attraction to me, but I haven't seen what the Izula II is going to sell for by default, and it seems like I might be able to just buy scales for the regular Izula if I really wanted them. I'm going to go the paracord wrapped or skeleton route though.

I think the Izula II should be out next week and priced around $65
