I already love this knife, and is now my new EDC. I did a serch for pocket sheaths and found a few that I like. But most were back pocket sheaths and I want one for a front pocket. leather, kydex or both. I do not want something with alot retention. Being able to do everything one handed is also key. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

if deep concealment isn't a necessity, why not just put a clip on the stock sheath? use mine one-handed all the time.

Well... if you want the least retention possible, leather would be the way to go. Because there would be no "click" of the knife being locked in.

Knives Ship Free Has a belt/neck leather sheath, but it looks like you could get away with it being in your pocket.

Other than that, I'm not sure there is much out there pertaining to your needs.

Sorry I couldn't help more.

The kydex sheath I made for my Izula can be removed with the thumb one handed, I do it all the time. The trick is to make the shape of the kydex hold the knife in, but keep that back rivet set forward so that the entire rear of the sheath is allowed to bend out of the way. It still 'snaps' into place but I have no issue removing the sheath with my thumb.

I sent mine to Spen at JRE Industries for exactly that.

I've left it up to him to come up with the design and I asked him to make it work with the handles and without.

I think I'm still a ways out on delivery but you might drop him a note and see what he's come up with. (Then you can tell me 'cause I've been bugging him a lot.) :)

Even though this one is intended as a back pocket sheath it is a lot narrower than most back pocket styles. "Slimmer" is the way KSF describes it:

I asked Derrick how well the Izula would fit, and his answer was "like it was made for it." I'm planning in getting one for use as a front pocket sheath.

+1 (and guess what I did today ...)

Martin's lightening fast, I ordered yesterday, and this morning I got this photo:

He'll be sending it out tomorrow, I guess it'll be here some time during next week (should be here by wednesday, but you never know).

I chose blue, cause it'll fit both my Izulas (tan and pink) - so that is not my Izula in the sheaths it's Martins.

Thanks Martin, it is a great pleasure doing business with you.
