Izula saves the day (okay maybe that's a little dramatic)

I was fortunate to have my izula on me last week when the plastic insert in the wheel well of my car which had been damaged by a hit and run in front of my house a few months ago, fell down and became wedged against the tire. I was doing about 40 and it was kind of scary as the tire started smoking and I lost some control. I was able to bring the car to a safe stop and got out to investigate. There was no way for me to dislodge the 1/4" hunk of plastic wedged against the tire. I was already running late to work and about 3 miles from my house. I tried backing the car up and turning the wheel back and forth but this just served to lodge the piece further. Suddenly I got an idea! I pulled out my trusty izula which is seldom not in my pocket and cut through the molding close to where it was still bolted to the car. It cut through that hard plastic like butter, (although it did take a lot of pressure due to the thickness of the material) and within seconds I was all the way through. I pulled the car forward a few feet and the plastic popped loose and fell onto the ground and I was on my way. Izula saves the day! What a great little knife!

Great story  Surprised there's not more high fives on this, maybe it's because you didn't ruin the knife

Thanks for sharing. Every time I read one of these stories, I add to my mental list of things the knife will do. I love those moments where you think, "I don't know if this is going to work or not..." and then it does. The usefulness of having a stout little EDC like the Izula cannot be overstated.

Cool on you for showing us you can use a knife in amn unusual situation without abusing it.

What especially impresses me about the izula is how capable it is. It is really stout and strong yet cuts very well and is perfect for small tasks. If I had only had a folder on me the task would have been much more difficult, and I would have been much more reluctant to even try it. The izula just drove right through the plastic without a second thought. It's a knife that really does inspire confidence.

I've just owned my Izula for less than a week so I don't have any great stories yet, but I will guarantee my swiss army knife would not do what you did with the Izula. :)
