Izula Scales?

I think I heard that they're flat scales - no hollow cavity.

Depending on how the screws run through them there is nothing keeping you from putting your own cavity there with a dremel. I am gonna see if i can mak a spot for one of the arrowheads and some wax infused twine for lashing it.

instead of wax infused twine, you might consider artificial sinew from a leather shop or one of the kevlar or spyder braided fishing lines.

The sinew was my other option and I will probably get some soon, but I thought I would try this stuff out, it was just much cheaper than the sinew. I like how the wax infused stuff sticks to itself, I am not familiar with the fishing lines or kevlar.

how much art sinew do you want/see needing? 5-6 feet?
email/PM me an address and I'll send you some out of my sewing kit.

Yeah I was at Hobby Lobby when I saw it and it was a couple hundred foot spool, guess I could have looked harder for a smaller size, but I was lazy that day.

SWEET! PM, Inbound! Thanks!

Well I was thinking one of the arrowheads, maybe some small fire stuff enough to get one fire going(PJCB, fatwood, jute, mini fire steel), button compass, fish hooks, microsd card, tiny piece of a mirror. Just about anything that size!

yeah, i was just hoping i wouldn't have to do too many mods to it, but i guess its not that big o' deal. thanks

Sorry didn't mean to jack the thread. It just seems like it would be pretty easy and for 15 bucks, I would get another set if I messed up, not a big deal.

Do you think the arrowhead would fit?

No idea! I would have to see them side by side, I asked if they were big enough in another thread and didn't get an answer, so I guess I will just have to find out after I get both in hand. Let you know, or someone else who finds out first.

I don't get why you'd wanna store important items in a place which requires a special tool to get to. What if you lost your allen key?! Better to have a neckbottle or something which is always on you for hooks, firesteel, razors etc.

I am sure you could replace the screws with regular ones that could be opened with a coin or washers, or some other way.
