What does the inside of the Izula scales look like? Are they shaped to keep from shifting? Anyone try to dye them? Thanks

There is an insert that fits tightly into the cutout so they do not move once installed. Have not tried to stain them yet.

Yea the insert is very well cut out I might add, mine actually snaped in place ... Gives a different feel to it also, very slim and still able to stay in your pocket if ya like without a bulky feel.

Where would one find scales for the izula? Are they only custom made, or does ESEE sell them as well?

Got mine yesterday and very pleased with fit and finish. I never took to the paracord but with the scales, I am considering the Izula as EDC instead of my RC-3 Mil.

www.knivesshipfree.com stocks scales.

Thanks for the info Aubrey. I guess what I mean to ask is if the scales are made by ESEE, or are they some chinese knock-off that happen to fit an IZULA.

Anyone try to dye them? Thanks

I decided that the scale would go better on my OD Izula than my black... im very interested in a black scale for the black Izula.. did someone had luck with dying them (something that work good, stay on the scale and dosn't leave mark in your hands when wet)

Doesn't look like anyone has dyed the scales yet. I would love a black Izula with black scales.
