Hi,

I don't know the matter of the Izula Sheath is made of and don't think it's Kydex but... I really like it under my paws...

The retention of the knife is great and it's very easy to free the Izula by gently pushing with your thumb. I also like all the carry options offered by the design but I really love the solid feel of it.

Before to receive my Izula, I was thinking about to order a black kydex, but now, unless I would ONLY use the Izula as a Neck Knife and would trim any grams possible for confortable carry, the sheath is perfect for my use.

The pictures of the sheath don't give it justice. That scabbard is bulletproof and give you confidence in your tool !

Really, praizing with the flock, the Izula is a great product and well thought in every little details. It's obvious how it transpires quality !

I agree, I love the izula sheath. But my word may not be worth that much because I don't have any kydex sheath to compare it to. the izula and RC-3 sheaths is my first ones that's not leather...

I got many many kydex sheaths... from Fred Perrin's to Fallkniven's, different thickness and matters.
The Izula's got all that tiny lines which enhance the feel on the surface. Great matter !

I to really like the Factory sheath ,It does it's job Well & looks good doing it !
Congrats on the Izula !!!!!!!

The Izula sheath is great, especially for the price of the knife and sheath. Like you said, kydex for neck carry is a little better because it can be done so much flatter. The real advantage IMO to kydex is there are no nubs for retention. On the plastic sheath you have to pay attention to the little nubs when resheathing or you'll slice them up over time. With kydex if you get the tip in you can shove it in with no worries.

This is true but i got a Spyderco FB04 with the same retention and I was not able to ruin it after almost 10 years of use ! :-)

Macro picture of the Rays on the sheath... Look like old vynil records...

IIRC the Izula, RC-3 and RC-6 come with injection molded sheaths. The RC-4 and 5 have kydex. Someone will correct me if I am wrong on any of these.

I was going to make me a Kydex sheath for my RC3, but I do like the factory sheaths that come with it. Excellent sheaths.

I second your views on the Izula and it's sheath. I really love the retention and the ease of sliding back out. It's very durable and gives you a multitude of carry options. Same with the Izula itself. This is one hell of a knife! It may not be huge on size but this thing could do almost anything you would need it to. I haven't been able to put mine down since I recieved it 2 days ago.

I EDC my Izula and I have to say the sheath is awesome. It gets bumped and caught on stuff all the time and has never failed me. I use the MOLLE clip to attach it to my belt.

The Izula does not move around, it's retention is fabulous and it releases very easily.
