Izula sheath question

Today I received my new izula in od green, as well as my wifes izula in pink. We are both very pleased with the knives and I think it's going to compliment my 3 and 5 very well. For some reason, the sheath keeps marking the knife where the retention knubs make contact with the blade, not all that noticeable on mine, but very noticeable on my wifes. So my questions are, is this common among the izula sheaths? Will it eventually stop? If not, what is a quick and inexpensive fix that you know of? Thanks guys

mine does the same thing.

you could order a kydex from onr of the people here who make them...

Shotgunner is the only one who comes to mind but i kno there are others

Marion David Proff does some awesome bending, Shotgunner is real good also. Do some searching around and pic thread checking, you'll come up with someone. Moose

If it bothers you, I would pick up one of the previously mentioned custom sheaths. However, I doubt there will be anything wrong with the knife done from the sheath.

Thanks guys, I'll have to check that out. It's not really a matter of bothering me, it was just surprising and I was hoping it wouldn't do any long term damage.

By marking, do you mean black marks from the sheath or the coating itself is being worn?

My DT Izula got a few black scuffs from the sheath, but it wiped of pretty easily and the more I used it, the less is rubbed off.

If that's the case, just give it a little time and it will stop.

My black izulas coating is pretty much gone from rubbing on the sheath after just one week.

I like the way it looks though. Gives it character.

Even high end kydex can do the same thing especially if dirt or sand get in there. I had a Swamp Rat that did the same thing in it's buybrown kydex sheath.
