So, a mere 2 weeks after purchasing my ESEE-6, I felt the need to invest in another knife, anyone see where this is going? :) Anyways, I just received my OD Izula (along with the fire kit.....and micarta scales....and the accessory pouch for the 6). Love the scales btw, i would highly recommend them to anyone considering. I wanted to accompany my awesome new Izula with some paracord, but I couldn't wrap the handle and I felt that I could improve on the length included to wrap the sheath. So after several tries I managed this:

I managed to get a very usable length on the sheath, somewhere between 14-16 feet. Has anyone tried this before?

Just on a side note, Ive been using my ESEE 6 (soon to be accompanied by my Izula) on the job as a forest fire fighter in northern Ontario. I have been seriously impressed, I wouldn't pick any other knife over ESEE. ESEE is truly an incredible company with an amazing product line

That looks pretty cool. I also have a 6 and an Izula. I'm trying to justify the need for another Esee. The scales look good too. Just ordered a set and can't wait to get them on as my cord wrapping skills are just sad. I aggree Esee is a great company.

That's a great idea. Yet another way to keep some very usable lengths of cord for the backcountry!!

I like that a lot. I may have to bite your idea and give that a shot. Let us know how it works out in the field!

That looks cool! I'll have to steal everyone elses idea of stealing your idea, lol. :p

Unless I plan on using a g clip on the sheath I'm going to get from Shotgunner. Or a tek lok. Or paracord loops. Hmmm. Too many options...

Very good storage for paracord. How much paracord do you have when its wrapped thus.
thanks

Looks very cool, brohemian. Have a 6 and an Izula as well. Great knives.
I'd like to wrap the sheath on the Izula too.. although it may impair the knifes ability to vanish in my pocket during EDC.

That is a great practical idea.
Plus, it makes the thing more tactical - if u ever dropped it (not that you would the way it's attached), it wouldn't make that hard plasticky noise. I loike it!!!:thumbup::thumbup:
