Izula- The Wait Continues...

Well, I just got an e-mail from Derrick at KSF. The tan kits were sold out before I got my order in, so I'll be waiting for the next shipment in January. I figured I'd be in for one for sure since I got my order in right after they went up (9:35 on the ninth). Oh, the anticipation...... :(
 
Just curious, when did you order yours Tony? I thought I was in on the first shipment too.
 
I'm in the same boat. I would have swore that I was one of the first ones to order. I think Derrick's site said there was 29 kits left when I ordered. How many did he start with?
 
FYI - I called knifeworks yesterday and the Izula shipment had arrived yesterday morning. I placed my order around 2 pm MST and it's already on it's way. Their webpage doesn't show it as being sold out yet.
 
I got an e-mail that mine (black) shipped on the 19th. Order placed on the 10th so hopefully I will see if before Christmas.

Ordered on 12/10/08 KSF,I checked order history and status shows shipped,I am hoping it is waiting for me at the post office,I got a slip that I have a package needing to be picked up.

Well that's interesting. As I said above, mine was ordered on 12/9 at 9:35 pm and I was told they had all sold out and were shipped in the order they were received. I thought it was odd since I placed my order before it was even posted here (post 27 and 28) that they were up on the site. Anyone else order after me and get a shipping notice?

Gotcha- thanks for the clarification on that! I remembered you had said you ordered a tan kit for a Christmas gift and thought that was the one you were getting. I'm just REALLY looking forward to getting my mitts on one of these, it's been a tough wait!
 
yeah I ordered a tan izula but mention was made about only half of the tan was shipped ,So I offered to take a black izula in exchange to help Derrick out so Mike(You Bro) can have his tan version,to me I will own all the colors so no rush,I just was an izula
 
I emailed Derrick too. So I think the tan kit I ordered has been swapped out for a black one. I guess I'll find out when it gets here!
 
I switched mine to black as well when the initial stock problem was announced. No worries, my black will be shipped monday. Derrick missed my email saying I wanted to switch. I would have never known if I wouldnt have gotten the email about them not being ready till the 5th. From Derricks fast reply, mine is all squared away and will be switched to black, which is fine. Its a christmas present for my son, I just hope it gets here in time. We are having our christmas on saturday due to my BS schedule.
 
I emailed to let Derrick know I'd switch out the black for the tan. I just checked on the shipping and it says the tan kit shipped 12-19. I guess we'll see what arrives.
 
When I ordered I regretfully didn't select the records option and went straight to checkout. I have not been e mailed by KSF either, so I hope that is good news about getting my izula soon.

Yep, I'm in the same boat. Oh well, guess I'm not getting an Izula this year.:p
