Anyone here seen them side by side yet like the looks of both but really only want one or the other. I need something for pocket carry and to put in a pack. They both look like great knives just can't seem to make up my mind. If this has already been covered I appoligize. Thanks for any help or input.

Izula is better for pocket carry, but the H.E.S.T. would be awesome on the hip or in the pack. Could work in a pocket too if it had to.

yes front pocket carry IZULA.I want a H.E.S.T but I must wait till next year.no more knives till jan frist It's killing me already.

Front pocket carry is where the Izula rules,no pointy pommels.Mine lives in my right front pocket of what ever pants I'm wearing, period.

The Izula is much better for pocket carry. It is 1 3/8" shorter than the HEST & does not have the pry bar/hook protrusion on the end.

For me, (and I haven't handled the HEST) I think the IZULA is the way to go. I just like the lines of it better and think it would be much more pocket friendly.

I've handled a HEST and it really doesn't compare to the Izula, much bigger, just about RC-3 size, and much thicker.

i went to the cabin last week and had my izula out in the woods for the first time.

on several occasions I could have used a bottle opener and i used my izula as a pry when installing new rain gutters. (metal this time, no more repairing the plastic ones every year after the heavy snow).

As much as I love my izula, i really could have used a HEST.

I guess it depends on if you have a main outdoors blade already.

If you have a good sized blade and are looking for a EDC FB, then go with the IZULA. If you don't have a good main blade, then get the HEST :)

Well, yeah, but I didn't want to specify what kind of hole.

Figured you guys could fill that in on your own.
