i know it looks easy, but i've tryed it and its NOT just a simple wrap around. the cord crosses when you try to do a simple wrap around.

plus other then on the ESEE website, i have not seen anybody with this.

Doesn't look too difficult. Wind it around and tie it off, not real sophisticated. The grip looks a bit thin, even with the wrap.
You can get more handle thickness by using a sanada-ami style wrap.

What makes you think this type of wrap has a specific name? Its just cord wrapped around the handle. Its not real hard to do. You don't use both ends when you wrap it. Lay one end flat along the handle with a few inches sticking out past the loop, then wrap with the other end, covering the part laying along the handle. When you get to the end of the handle wrap both ends around the loop accordingly.

You end up with this, the picture you linked to above

i was asking if it had a specific name so i could look it up on other skeleton knives like the becker eskabar. other wraps have names like the king cobra, the katana wrap, and so on.... so it's not out of the realm of possibility for this wrap to have a name.

I have 2 out of my 3 Izulas wrapped exactly the same way. My daughter studied on that picture and said "give me that" and once she started it, she showed me how and I can wrap 'em like that. ;)
