I ordered my first Esee knife an IzulaII Kit that will be here Monday. I started reading all the Esee posts a few days ago as I kept seeing all these posts on Blade Forums. I like the looks of the IzulaII although the Izula may be a better EDC. I saw the Izula folder on Esee's web site and it looks real nice. Anyone knows when it will be available. Seems like I found another knife company to spend my money. Damn this this gets expensive.Any advice or comments would be quite helpful and welcome. Thank you.

The Izula 2 is a great knife for edc, and with a longer more comfortable handle you can use it longer and with more control. Have no regrets, you made a great choice.

As far as the folder goes, there is no release date yet. Keep your eye on this forum for more info in the future, and welcome aboard!

The best advice: be careful, the Izula is a sharp little knife. You can see posts/pics of some of the members that have found out how sharp if you read enough theads. If you decide to wrap the handle, tape the blade since the sheath can pop off while you doing it. Welcome to our world!

The izula folder won't be out for a while I don't think. Stick around the forum, check out the esee-3 prototype thread, there are pictures of a new folding esee-3! It is pretty dope.

You'll love the izula-II. I have both, and you'll want the micarta handles for an EDC knife, it makes it much more comfortable in the hand. You can wrap an izula with paracord, but it isn't going to feel the same.

Now if you are thinking that you need the knife to be super slim so you can hide it, a paracord wrapped izula might be good, but I think the izula II is more to my liking as I can get a better grip on it since it is thicker and more textured. If you need to keep it slim to sneak it somewhere that you shouldn't have a knife, you'd want an izula. I'd hope that you don't need to do that, though.

You'll love the way the izula II feels. I laid out some knives for my brother and let him pick one for me to buy for him....Becker Necker, EsKabar, Izula, Izula II, HEST, RC-3MIL, ESEE-3MIL-S and ESEE-4. Out of all of those knives - regardless of price - he picked the Izula II. That should make you feel confident about your selection.

Plus, you'll pick up an Izula and an ESEE 3, 4, 5, 6 later on after you get sucked in by the Izula II. :)

Thanks for all the info and thanks for the welcome. I have read most of Jeff's articles in Tactical Knives and a few other magazines and really like them. Seems like a down to earth guy. I really like the attitude on this forum. Also, I was amazed at all the posts I was seeing on Blade Forums and that is what got me here.I am eagerly awaiting UPS truck tommorrow. Also, I feel in love with the looks of the IzulaII on Esee's website and decided this was the EDC I was looking for. Thanks for all of the comments and info.
