I got my Izulas & Firekits that I ordered for me and my brother. I ordered from twowolvesoutdoor.com and was very happy with the service. They also included a little compass you can glue in the endcap of the firekit. I also have the RC-5 coming from them any day now. I didn't realize how big the firekits were, a real hefty piece of equipment. Here are some pics so you can see how big the firekit is next to the Izula. Later, Joe

Excellent set up ..... Kinda funny I own a pair of Fire kits and none of mine came with compasses ? I had a few 20mm compasses that snapped into the cap..

Oh hell, here we go again. Just so everyone knows: RAT DID NOT and DOES NOT supply these compasses. This is something the dealer is doing on their own. Every time a dealer does something like this we have to field a half-million calls from folks saying "parts are missing from my __________" Oh well, it was a nice gesture from Two Wolves. ;)

Yep! I have been looking at the Fire kits for a while, and that was what made up my mind to buy from T.W.O. Excellent little gesture to say "We want your business" by a dealer.

Is there a specific compass that works best in the fire kits? Tony mentioned 20mm, where would you get one that is accurate and will fit?

Sorry Jeff... didnt mean to cause an issue for you. Yes, we supply them, and it says on our website that we supply them. Sun Company has turned out to be wonderful to deal with.

That's a nice touch by Two Wolves to add the compass. Good job guys (and gals).

Yep, that was one of the nice extra's that made me order my FireKit from twowolves. So I didn't have to go chasing down the correct compass for the kit. And I ordered my RC-5 and my Izula from them because Lisa is just damn good people to deal with. Nice little operation they have. Makes doing business across the internet, "personal" -if thats not an oxymoron.

Are the fire steels inserts that can be changed, or permanently attached?

They are made to be replaceable, with a philips head screw down in the base of the compartment that holds the firesteel in.

That being said, I haven't seen replacements available anywhere just yet. I assume RAT will offer them at some point.

Didn't mean to come across as a smart ass. I think it's a great idea on your part but trust me, we will start getting calls that we left the compass out of the package ;)

There's an easy, inexpensive fix that will prevent those complaints. :p

For what it's worth, I didn't think you came across as a smart ass.

I agree 100%, it is a true pleasure to deal with Lisa. Now I just need to sweet talk her into sending me an extra compass with my next order. Lisa, when do you expect to get more fire kits?

lol... I will get them when they ship!
Thanks for the kind words, guys. Much appreciated. Just drop me a note next time you order...
Jeff, you didnt come across as a smart ass at all... just remember, i fell down the steps today and I am on pain medicine... so forgive me if I came across badly.
