Mailman brought a box of Izulas, yesterday. Two Izula II's and one Izula with G10 scales.
OMG, what a handy little knife. This thing it amazing. Yea, the cerakote causes a little friction, when slicing food, and it doesn't "glide" through but otherwise I am so happy with this little guy.
In another thread, we were discussing weapon vs tool and I stated that "weapon" is half of my consideration when carrying a knife. On that note, the Izula does leave me feeling a little "naked". Oddly, even with the CZ P01 and a spare mag on me, something just does not feel right about not having a more tactically designed knife. It is weird. Also, i keep reaching down to touch my pocket clip and thinking I've lost my knife.
I am kinda thinking about using it in combination with a more "people oriented" knife like my EOD Karambit or my SOG Kiku, worn on the belt. Then I would feel like I had both bases covered.
That "I don't have a knife" feeling aside, this thing is amazing. I see what all the fuss is about
