so, Ive got my 3, for little stuff, and my 5 for everything bigger.
I got the becker necker San Mai as a little kneck knife, but the cutting edge is almost as long as the three.
My question is, I dont think I need the izula for small stuff, because I have the three.
Do you guys think the izzy would be such a difference then the 3 for me?
Im also trying to decide to get the izzy or junglas.
frick! what to do...

Buy them both :D. Every knife has it's own intended purpose, if you feel like you'd get use out of either an Izula or a 6, buy it and try it out for yourself. If you don't like it, one of us will gladly take it off your hands.

If you can't get both get the junglas, it's simply amazing. It has to be the most comfortable knife I've ever handled, you won't be disappointed.

I don't know why you're debating between the largest and smallest knives they make.

Really consider what you would use the Junglas for. I have one and they're amazing but I also do a lot of winter hiking and I like using it for splitting wood and other wood working. Other than that, it sits on my shelf and looks cool. I carry my Izula and either my 4 or 5 (depending on how long I'm out) on every hike and adventure I go on.

Think about what you will be using them for and which you will get the most use out of. The Izula is a knife everyone should own. The blade length is the same as the Spyderco Delica but the cutting edge is longer on the Izula. My point is to show perhaps how much more practical and useful an Izula would be for you on a day to day bases and you could have three Izzy's for the price of the Junglas and the sheath.

I edc my Izzy... the only time I pull out the leatherman (also edc) is to use the pliers or driver bit. All regular cutting chores go to the Izula and it carries so easily it practically disappears until it's needed.

I would love to get a Junglas, but with my other blades, it's just not too high on the priority list - especially in my own needs "big picture."

Like Undertow said - figure out what you want it for, then determine which is the best fir *right now* - it's not like they're similar in scale or price.

i think i may edc my izula for the rest of my life. i love it. right now, i'm carrying the izzy, a sog folder, and a swisschamp. i know i don't need all of them, but they all have purposes. i love that the izzy easily fits inside my pockets. i'm not sure it would be too comfortable around my neck, but it's a great knife for my pocket that is much more sturdy than the others i'm carrying.
i'm dying to get a 5 and a junglas as well. the three of them would be a nice collection of blades that is very well-rounded and can handle anything. at least that's what i've been told.

I carried the 3 for about a year before getting the Izula and thought it would be good to keep in a pack or something. I ended up carrying it 24/7 and probably use an Izula 90% of the time compared to the 3. There is a reason that the Izula is their #1 seller.

I usually have it and a traditional slip-joint style folder on my person most days.

you have a 3 and a becker necker -- they fill the same niche an izzy would.
you don't have a large chopper -- get the Junglas or an 18" machete.
