I shop Value Village stores but rarely find any decent knives but today I saw a knife in the display case with a Husqvarna logo on it and my brain went, "Hey, I know that logo!". The knife turned out to be a J.A. Hellberg knife. The company closed down in 2007 after going through a number of owners, something you see with other brands, some go dormant for a while then get sold to another company and then the ownership changes hands rappidly just before closing the doors.
The knife is in pretty good condition but it has scratches on the blade and it looks like the top guard is broke off a bit (common in Google pics). It is interestingly thick for a Swedish knife at 5mm. Aparently the company cloned a lot of Marbles designs, my knife certainly has a European/American flare to it rather than Swedish.
Overall I am not too crazy about the knife but the price was right and gave me a chance to search an unknown to me maker. I'd certainly like to find something from them in the way of a slipjoint.
