Greetings,
I found this J. Askham & Son Sheffield Wapacut blade buried in the storage shed of a woman I used to work for. I cleaned up a bit, enough to read the words stamped into the steel. She didn't know anything about it, so I was hoping someone could shed some light on a bit of its history. It's a solid blade that's seen a lot of use, and it has an oil soaked wood handle. I appreciate any and all information anyone can offer.
