J-flex belts

Anyone here know where I can get good flexible AO J-flex belts in 280 grit. I usually get them from Barb Sydner but she doesn't handle them anymore.

Bill, I'm pretty sure that Tru grit has them. If they don't, maybe Pop's.

I too have used some of her belts in "J" weight...but they sure are soft. they really do bend,,,,

I have to ask, why do you like them? where do you used them over other belts?

Bill, I just got some belts from here but haven't given them a try yet. Doesn't seem like there site is working but if you give Kim and email she should get back to you. They sure have some good prices but like I said I haven't tried any of the belts yet...

I take all my blades to 280 before heat treating, that way it doesn't take much to clean them up after, the J flexs, flex into really tight places and don't cut where I don't want them to when shapeing handles and guards either. After the main grinding with course grits, I use more 280 j flexs then any thing else, they just work good for the way I make knives.

Pop doesn't need a plug here but I'll say he helped me get started by providing my belt needs and discouraging me from wasting money on belts he had that I did not need. He may not have all the various belts but I like trying him first.
