New here was wondering if anybody has any info on the company/person that made my boardaxe hewingaxe, stamped J.MAULE , then under its stamped, CASTSTEEL WARRANTED, best I came up with was Joshua Maule a blacksmith in or around Chester PA. Around 1840-1910 , Pennsylvania style single bevel around 7lbs Never heard if it before so just wondering if anyone else has any knowledge, I'm not really a collector more of a gatherer , I buy axeheads etc when I see them ,I thought of one day restoring then ,but so far most just collect dust , however I love the history of axes, logging and bladed tools , don't know if it's a hobby or a disease, ain't stopping either way , any help would be appreciated thank you
