Here is a beautiful knife that is also a wicked cutter. The owner commissioned this bad boy from J.R. Cook who in return provided instruction on its safe use. J.R. forged a big damascus blade and made a big handle for a guy with big hands. I think that's what "custom" means.

Some of the learning and practicing took place at Jerry Fisk's annual weekend event outside of Nashville, AR. Here is a frame from my remote video camera (the wide angle lens produces some distortion) wherein the owner takes the measure of those water bottles with his new cutter while J.R. looks on. J.R. must be thinking, "What the heck is he doin' with that thing way up in the air like that? I bet he's a dang golfer."

Yep - that's what custom means! (How rarely it gets used correctly)

That's a real beauty and I can't help but wonder what the next few frames of that movie look like!

If there's points for style, that one wins hands down! Beautiful knife and nice to see it being used.

That is a good looking cutter and I really like where JR put the lanyard hole I have not seen that before

the gentle constant curve of the edge oughta make for some good performance. I'd be very interested to see a top down view to get a sense of it in 3d.

Terrific piece - easily one of my faves from JR. Nice job with the pic, Buddy.

That knife is spectacular, and Buddy's satisfying photo just flows.

Love the action shot. How many bottles???!!
