I guess I'm one of those that has a thing for neck knives when I'm out in the woods. Seen the new Ka-Bar/JAB "Piggyback" knife and liked the styling and at $10 I found myself hitting the "buy" button. Just got it Wednesday. I like it. Very light weight. Sharp. Should make for a nice skinner/slicer. Not as durable as say an Izula or BK11, but it has a useful purpose. The two things that I'm so-so with is that it's China made and the sheath is awful. Can't do much about where it's made, but a new sheath was being thought up immediately. I had a kydex sheath that hasn't seen the light of day for over a year and since the knife that it was made for now sits in leather I figure why not. Went to the kitchen. turned the oven on and thru the sheath on an old cookie sheet and into the oven. When it was ready I tossed the Piggyback in it and laid it between two folded dish towels(shhh.... don't tell the wife) and laid the butcher block on it then the wife's Kitchenaid mixer. This is what I got when it cooled.

Nice job!
The first time I tried to modify kydex
well
the marriage counseling cost me plenty!

Might want to make a nick in that
leather strap so it will break if
you get hung up on something.
