I read here on the forums that Keifer Sutherland, Jack Bauer from "24", collects microtechs.

I'm wondering if we should get him a sebenza? :D

Must admit, Id never heard of Microtech until the Serbian badguy pulled out a Microtech HALO, from behind the armrest of his limo in the first series of "24". Did some reading up on them, and Id love on of those, Fat chance in the UK, and I believe HALOs are quite difficult to (legally!) own in the States, too?

I'll bet Kiefer got a super-duper Microtech special edition model as a thank you for one of their blades featuring in the show. Hey, maybe they could bring out a "CTU" special edition?

Funny, I was just watching one of the 24 epdisodes and lo and behold there was what appeared to be a large Strider Fixed blade. pretty cool to see that they actually pay attention to real knife users and don't go buy whatever is available. I saw the Halo episode as well.

I'd bet that Sutherland is into knives and is well aware of the Sebenza. With his dough he probably has a collection, beyond just MT, that would amaze.

In season 4 he also passes his Microtech HALO to Audrey when she is locked in a cell, while her Sec of Defense father is being prepped for his internet-broadcasted assassination. It is early in the season. When one of the bad guys has her hostage outside the compound after the marines get there, Audrey uses it to stab the BG in the leg, then Jack Bauer throws what looks like a Strider dagger at him.
Early in season 2 i believe Jack also uses the HALO to cut off a BG's thumb for later identification. (Its one of the assassins that tries to kill Jack's mentor/ boss inside CTU HQ.)
Pretty cool

i'm sure if he wants a seb he has one, as good as a seb is it is one knife that just never grabbed me (yes i have one) maybe if they made a larger version??

Last night's premiere already had Jack whipping out a knife to dispatch a bad guy. :)

I think it was a Microtech HALO.
