Hi

I'm trying to locate where I can buy some of my dream knives - after a long time of waiting I have made a little spare money and want to get a Jack Crain Life Support System knife. Also any links to find Jimmy Lile stuff would be great too!

Peter, you should do a search here for threads on Crain knives. You will see that there is quite a danger sending him your money.

Dave took the words right out of my mouth. I would be very cautious dealing with him. There are many fantastic makers who can produce your dream knife for you. I would hate to see someone have a bad experience obtaining a knife they saved long and hard for.Check around before making any commitment.

Crain knives come up on Ebay every so often. I can't what the Lifesupport will go for; but I am sure it will be less then the $1,000 this guy is asking for.

Thanks for all the info to date. I am really saddened to hear that I need to be cautious with Crain! I have seen his work for 20 years on and off and being somewhat old fashioned I view knife makers like sword makers of old. You know, honourable, decent folk!
