Jack Crain

I have never owned or handled a Crain knife, but he has made many of the movie knives and I like the look of his Noah Smithwick Bowie.

I've known Jack for 13 years now, and own several of his knives. He's one of the nicest guys I know. He's a little difficult to get ahold of, e-mail is your best bet. The knives I've ordered over the years have taken on average 8 months to get to me. I'm a big fan of his knives, designs and craftsmanship. Back in the 80's and early 90's he was on so many knife magazine covers that other makers started to complain to the magazine editors, crying that it wasn't fair that one guy get so much coverage. There are a lot of untrue rumors which have a tendency to pop up now and then, however if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask Jack.
