My new pocket carry.......a 1987 Blue Grass/Queen Winchester teardrop jack.
Boy howdy did they do a nice job with these.....mirror polished carbon blades and the handle material is Rodgers-like old bone from the Utica factory near my home town. Bear trap springs...almost too stout on the small pen blade...imagine it will give some after use. An eBay find...just under $50 shipped too !

That is one of my favorite patterns too. I have a Marbles easy opener tear drop in buffalo horn I just love.

I've always seen those and wondered something. Do they have a half stop or do they just roll smoothly opened and closed?

Nice score..

Sweet catch there Gramps! Yeah, I've come to really like that teardrop jack pattern my ownself.

Thanks !......I too like this pattern. I've also got a Queen Teardrop with CSB and a Case Chestnut Bone 8 dot that I carry frequently .

-Best regards

That is very nice! But isn't it really a candle-end dogleg jack?

I have an old Ulster Knife Co just like it (well, almost - very nice ebony instead of bone).

....I have also heard this pattern referred to as a 2 blade Serpentine Teardrop Jack I think by Parker or Clarence Risner or perhaps Blue Grass Cutlery: I can't recall.....however technically you are correct to point out that it's neither a straight jack nor a teardrop.
Knifaholic and El Lobo will be along soon to share their knowledge on this...anyone else ?

-Best regards

I agree with Lambertiana! A candle-end dogleg jack is what I call it. The candle bolster has a point, suggesting a flame, and a dogleg is a serpentine unequal end pattern.
Nice piece!
