Jacked the edge on my 560.

I was cutting Sheetrock and it had a staple exactly where I cut on the other side. It put a pretty good chip in it but hell that's what these knives are for right . 50 or so swipes on each set of stones for the sharp maker and you can't tell it happened at all.

I gotta say I thought Sheetrock would ruin the edge by itself but it was still sharp when I was done. Love this knife.

Elmax from what i hear is a heck of a tough steel, in fact one of the toughest stainless steels out there

yea a carbon like cpm-3v, infi or sr-101 would still beat it but for something that wont rust easy and stays sharp for ever elmax is one of the best i hear, havent got my 560 yet but i have 100$ of it saved up just need a little more

The elmax on the 560 is a beast. I just touch it up 1-2x a week with a spyderco ultra fine stone. I can tell you the look of pure "oh ****" from my sister that I would use a 260$ knife on Sheetrock was great.

mine too - tiny nick cutting 550 cord? it was dusty, but i was amazed that it affected the edge at all...
