i'm going to make a jack LE my user, and i'll get kydex for my rafting adventures and a nice leather one for pants wear in the woods.

well busse indorses the makers on his web site and we also do the same. most of the makers post on here and all make very nice scabbards.

i prefer leather to be all leather and then use kydex for wet, camp box use.

we need a picture thread on sheaths, it would be a good resource:thumbup:

I'm not Skunk but there are some really good guys on this link. Kenny Rowe and Leatherman(Dwayne) make Awesome sheaths, very tough.

I picked up a Spec Ops sheath for my SJT, it fits great(with only about 1 minute of trimming ) If I were going with leather it would be Leatherman (www.armoralleather.com ) I love Dwayne's work.

Dwayne makes some really nice sheaths. He can even put a wax coating on em to protect it from the weather. Haven't been disapointed with anything from him yet. I've had 3 so far and have 2 more on the way. They have really good customer service and are just overall good people.

Nothing wrong with kydex mind you, but I think that leather just enhances the look of a knife more than kydex. Prefer the feel of leather over plastic anyday. Just my two cents.
