Hello all,
I recently acquired a knife for free that has the imprint "Jacobs' Custom" with an elk insignia. I have read all of the posts about the Pakistani "custom" knives resold by Jacobs. This knife does not really have the same look to it as those knives though. So here is a picture of the imprint and the knife. Any info would be great. Thanks.

Ugh. This guy again.

A quick search turned this up from Keith Montgomery back in '07: " The blades were purchased from Blue Ridge Knives and usually had an antler crown handle and brass guard rather crudely attached." Here's the thread: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/486227-How-to-ID-Jason-Jacobs-knife

That's why it looks different; it is a re-badged Blue Ridge knife rather than a re-badged Pakistani knife. I've seen the work he does himself and it is mind-blowingly hideous.

Thanks James. That answers it. Its going to be my car knife from now on. Ill take my Mora 840 with me to the woods.

Just curious. When does a hideous knife become eligible for sale as a custom knife. I've seen some shameless stuff out there.
