For over a year I have been searching for a light green jade in pieces big enough and SOLID enough to do a Buck 110. Since I know a Jade dealer you would think this would be an easy task but even he was not able to get the exact color I wanted until a couple of weeks ago when he bought over 3,000 pounds of Jade from a jade collector.

In this pile he did find a SOLID small Jade boulder that is the color I have been searching for! It cost me two custom knives to be made from the stone, $200.00 cash, and I have to give him seven slabs and all the "scrap" for him to sell.

I finished one knife for him already and here are the pictures of the Buck 110 with the light green Jade. Most Jade is VERY hard to polish and usually only takes a semi shiny waxy looking polish. This jade takes a GLOSSY polish and does so easily so it is just incredible! I probably have enough to do 50 Buck 110's so it will last me for years. :D

Redrummd,

That is truly a work of art! I have always been fond of light green Jade. Thanks for sharing.

Fantastic, beautiful shade of green on that Jade.

I took a picture of a slab of this jade held up to the light to show its incredible translucent quality and color. I am really excited to get control of this gem grade jade. I may never get another shot at this quality of jade.
