Jade Scale??

I know some of you are probably tired of the M4 PM2 threads but I'm curious if anyone else is considering ditching the jade scales on one you intend to use. They are nice but I am considering replacing them with plain black G10 now that I've had them in hand. It seems like they would show dirt badly with daily use. You can always put them back on if you sale later is my attitude.

I don't really care for the jade scales either, but I love M4! I have Boomer52 making me a set of custom scales as we speak!

We will see when mine arrives tomorrow. But I have also been thinking about ditching them for some black G10, or some custom scales.

I like them, but the will for sure patina as fast or faster than the M4...If and when that happens and I hate it...I imagine they would clean up pretty well..or there is always RIT.

I recently had Boomer make me some awesome scales for my Hap40 Endura, can't recommend this guy enough.

I must be missing something? None of these custom scale makers have web sites, all they have is unorganized photo galleries, no contact info(or very hard to find) and no prices. It takes days to get info, prices and confirm order and send payment. Their work is incredible pieces of art with little or no self promotion, I don't get it.

If you click on their threads. They have links to the things they make.
Prices. You have to contact them.

Each of the scale makers have their flavor and one of them will make what you want.

I have contacted a lot of them on the board and they always respond.

Yes I have found them and have a couple sets ordered but like said. It just wasn't a streamline process. Email after email, pm after pm.
