What is this? It's Listed as the Jaguar cqc7 specwar. Revolutionized the tactical something or other? Is it really a collab or a rip off?

I PM'd EmersonREP a link to this thread. Emerson always wants to know about fakes and does a pretty good job of getting them shut down.

Thanks for the heads up. Yes, that is a fake, and a pretty bad one at that! Where did the OP see this for sale? If it's on Ebay we can try and report it but since a lot of these copies are coming out of China it's almost impossible to police. It's like that game Whack-A-Mole. Once you shut one guy down, another one pops right back up.

I have had one of those junky things for probably around 7 years. I am pretty sure I bought it at an auto parts store, it definitely wasn't online and it was back when I didn't know anything about knives. Sadly, I had no idea it was a copy of anything until now. I doubt I paid more than $5 for it. I still have some pieces of it in a junk drawer, I know it pretty much fell apart and it was one of the knives that got me looking into higher end stuff that would last.

let us know emerson rep if you take this thing off amazon. They used the emerson name and model to describe this.

Jaguar had it's own line of names for it's copies. That thing shouldn't have been named CQC7 , just looked like it. I remember seeing that brand from the middle 80's on up into the nineties sold at gunshows and flea markets. $5 would have been about right for those. I probably have an old Jaguar ( different model) around somewhere. Surgical stainless and thin, not well fitted liner locks not safe for real use. Something Butthead might show beavis to impress him.

The piece of crap is still listed. Think of the poor soul who buys it and curses the Emerson brand.

Haha, I remember that I had a jaguar once(nearly 20 years ago before I knew better) It was a Gerber paraframe wharnecliff knock-off. Just imagine a crappy fake of an already garbage knife. Total POS
