Jaguar Fell Apart

Finally one of the pins on my Jaguar fell off. I wanted to make the pins even, so decided to replace the non broken pin also. I tried to get the pin out, with a screwdrive, but I forced it too hard, and the handle bented a lot, but I was about to get the pin out. I bent the handle back, but it broke off! Anyone know how I can fix it, and tell me the correct way to do it next time something like this happens again?

Funny, mine just fell apart a few minutes before I saw your post here. It was my 'at-work' bali (wouldn't want to keep anything else here as the janitors have been known to mistake a lot things of mine as trash

). Ah well, gonna have to stick some nails in it.

Oh BTW, I have the exact same jaguar, that's not broken and in great shape, that I'd like to get rid of if you're interested. $15 sound good?

I don't think you'll be able to fix it. If you ever have to do it again get a small socket to put under the handle and around the pin so it's supported. You always could try to make new handles.

is it brand new though? Like really good shape? Cause I dont want to buy anything thats been flipped a lot...worn out.

Just replace it and next time drill out the other pin.

I agree with Chung San! The only cure for a Jag is a Benchmade!!!!!! If anything, skip the 42 and go find yourself a 259. That's a good low-end benchmade that blows any yes ANY Jag away.

my first 'franken bali' shared the same fate.. next time you can file the pin out or drill it out (riskier).. or just get the skeletonized handles.. an doption could be to look for someone who has sapre handles.. I think I threw mine out in frustration otherwise I would've been glad to give you my non broken handle.

I want a BM 42 so bad...but I dont have 120 to buy it. I heard someone say they saw them for like 100, anyone know where though?

I saw a place that sells them for $110 I think and also included the BM torx set. Look around, you'll find it. Maybe someone else has seen this site as well.

Any good chance you visited Chuck's website recently? There is a re-handled (geez, do I use good English here ..

) BM Zamak series ..

I am not sure, but:
  1. You can get the other non-broken Zamak handle from the BM, in case they fit .. it would be a good try I believe
  2. You can have the same maker re-handle your Jag, but maybe the handle will cost you 3 Jags
