So, i've been playing with my jag a *lot* lately. I didn't think it was possible to have so many cuts on one hand : ). Anyway, yesterday i noticed that the pins had stretched out, and it was out of alignment... So, i did what it said on clay's site, and used a vice to squash the pins together more... Only problem is i think i must have bent one of the pins, because now my bali doesn't close all the way to latch it some of the time... And it feels like there's some resistance... Not only that, but the blade doesn't slide from one edge of the walls to the other wall of the knife (if you know what i mean... i can't think of the words to explain it...). So i must have bent it, right? If so, then is there any way to fix it? Or do I just have to replace it? If i have to replace it, then how should i remove this pin? Sorry for so many questions, but i want my jag working perfecly again : )... Oh yeah, my girlfriend digs the knife, but wouldn't touch it after i pointed out the blood stains on the blade ]: P-

Hi,
well you could either try and replace the pins by taking them out and putting in some finishing nails. or maybe you could just try loosening the handles that might be it so go look at clay's site agiian.

hmmm... it kind of fixed itself : )... maybe i did tighten it a little too much... All i know is that i played with it for a while (oh yeah, i forgot, you're not supposed to "play with knives"... i manipulated it, then) and now it closes fine and is in alignment : )... Oh yeah... another vid if ya wanna see it, it's a aerial throw to backhand catch and reverse

No, Mike is not kidding or being sarcastic. He owns both www.bladeforums.com and www.onestopknifeshop.com
and he's a really cool guy to talk to. I know this thread is about 5 days old and I don't know if either of you have contacted each other but in case you haven't....do!! Later.
