Jaguar without cat

Hey, I have a green and black speckled handle bali that says "JAGUAR" but doesn't have the leaping cat. Is this a Taiwanese copy of a Jag? or did Jag ever release blades wothout the cat?

Good question. I would like to know as well. One of my first balisongs said Jaguar on the blade as well, but no cat. It was very cheap, chrome, and had skeleton handles.

Knock-off time, blade_420, sorry to say. There's really only two types of Jaguars out now that I can find, and the variations to them are whether they are black, and serrated. Johnr7 shows them on his web site at

The handles are either slotted or not, blades are serrated or not. Hope this helps. Besides, it still flips ok!

When I was in Thailand i found knock-offs of tons of things, including Bali's. Though even though they were copy's they weren't that bad. One I got is better than the normal cheapies you can get in the US.

The Knifezilla site has more Jaguar variations than the ones on Johnr7s site. And plus I've seen an all black skeletonized handle bali with my own eyes.
