I like that curved blade with a dash of Persian knife shape thrown in for good measure.

The jury is still out on the name though......

Very nice and functional looking! I like the fuller's effect as well.

The name though might refer to its wrap looking like a prison shiv.

Nice job....I'm a fan of your work with rawhide and agree that the trailing point and fuller set it off nicely. :)

Thank you all! I made Jailbird I, Jailbird II, Jailbird III, and after that i give jail names who captures the theme of work- Jailbirds from Fu-Chu (bigest jail in Japan, tanto style). La Sante (oldest jail in Paris, pointy shiv) and now persian look "Abu Ghrajb".. . Next time will be Folsom prison jailbird, maybe bowie style shiv :)

This one is 3mm thick and 120 mm long blade... 0,118" thick and 4,7" long..

You mean a hemp cord? I use it once with resin...it was more harder to the touch than buckskin or rawhide... i still felt the sharp edges on rope after polishing...
And if you dont use the resin, it rust under the wrap....

Its forged from both sides when is blade straight. After that is blade curved and fuller scraped. Now i see, i have no picture from the second side.. Ill make one...
