Well, This guys showed up about a week and a half ago and without having 2 seconds to rub together until now, here is a review.

For background on the knife, see here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...-A10-Super-quot-Flipper?highlight=jake+hoback

I was seraching for a tank of a knife. Went back and forth between a handful of well known makers. Settled on this one. I looked at it for a while and it just caught my eye.

Initial impression was awesome. The knife is a tank, but in a smaller package. I havent measured the blade length, but its only aroun 3.5 inches I'd assume. It has the most rugged stonewash/acidwash on the blade I've seen. The Mixture of materials combined to create the knife complement eachother very well. The flipping action takes some practice to get fully deployed with no wrist action but its easily do-able after playing with it for a short while. Mine has a carbide lockface and it is only at 5-10 percent lockup, at first I was leary about it disengaging, but it wont budge. There is a bearing system in the pivot that makes the action very smooth and slick. After a week and a half of EDC-ing the knife, its hasnt left my pocket once. The carbon fiber clip is very cool. Slightly less flexible than a standard clip, but I like the look.

Overall, this wont be my last Jake Hoback knife. The size, and functionality of the knife is perfect and it is scary sharp from the maker. So far, it has cut a seatbelt during an evolution excercise and its large enough to be used with turnout gloves. If you want a knife that competes with the best, get one.
