Hello All:
I posted this question a few years ago, and didn't get an answer, so I'll try again - Does anybody here have an idea of the current value of James Lucies' knives? I have a mint Scagel-style 6" Hunter he made 10 years ago, and I'm thinking about putting it on the market, but I'm having a tough time valuing it. I have yet to see any on the secondary market (except there's a camp knife now on Ebay with a ridiculous buy it now price of $79,643...). I know he doesn't make many, if any, blades today, I think he's still working on his Scagel book. Beautiful knife, BTW, UNBELIEVABLE finish... ANY help will be much appreciated.
TIA,
Greg

Search and contact Dr. James (Jim) Lucie. He will be the best source as to the value of his knives.
He's still making knives.

Hello,
The rules prohibit those without a paying membership for asking about the value of items. Form the rules:

From Bladeforums rules:

WHAT IS MY KNIFE / GADGET / SPATULA / TUNING FORK WORTH ?!?!?!?!

In order to curtail potential abuse of membership privileges associated with the forums, questions regarding valuation of knives and collections are limited to those with a membership level which permits selling on this site. Accordingly, registered and basic members may not start or post in threads with such requests whether with the intent to sell or for informational purposes only. This rule applies throughout the site.

In other words, without a paid Gold membership, you don't get to ask about sale values. Too many people abused this question to hint they had a knife for sale, which you need that membership for.

Please consider supporting the site and getting a answer to your question.
