Hi All:

I am upping my insurance to cover the value of a slow but steadily increasing knife collection. Most of my stuff is pretty easy to value (a few custom tacs and a bunch of production knives), but I have NO IDEA of the value of a James Lucie Scagel Hunter. Medium size (6"blade), stacked leather and crown handle. Lucie hand-tooled leather sheath. Minty, 2 yrs. old. I've searched, and for the past year could find ZERO Lucies' on the secondary market. Anybody have any idea, or have seen any for sale? Thanks in advance for you help. Any questions, please drop me an e-mail.

Greg

It's gonna be high, Dr. Jim is just about the best maker of Scagel style knives extant. I'd suggest that you contact Paul Basch at A.G. Russell, and/or Jim 'Treeman' Behring for more pricing info...

Thanks folks, Appreciate the suggestions. One question though - I'm familar with who Paul Basch is, but who is Jim Behring, and where do I contact him??

Thanks,

Greg
